got a strange e-mail today (more phishing )
apparently i won 1.5 million
however to get this they needed all my personal details
i did the wise thing and told them to get stuffed
if this happens to anyone else please do the same

The wiser thing to do is simply delete spam e-mails without commenting (or falling for the "click here to cancel mailings" link trick!). Otherwise you're confirming your e-mail address to them and will probably get even more spam.
I'm glad to see you didn't fall for their scam (I had students doing university courses coming to me when I worked on the IT help desk to ask whether they should reply... duh!)
